LIBERTY — Alliance Pickens and the School District of Pickens County celebrated distinguished students and teachers at a dinner banquet on Tuesday, May 22, at the new Career and Technology Center in Liberty.

COUNTY — STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) programs available to students in the Pickens County school district show that there are viable career options for those children who are not interested in what some view as a more traditional, four-year university education.

PICKENS — Summer in Pickens kicks off in June with four Saturday evenings of Cruise-In vehicles on display and Music on Main Street.

SUNSET — A man claiming to be a part of a sovereign group was arrested and faces multiple charges after Pickens County sheriff’s deputies said he entered a home in Sunset claiming it was seized by the group.
