CENTRAL — The Daniel Lions are Columbia-bound and only one game away from a perfect season and their first AAA State championship since 1998.

The undefeated Lions earned their way to a showdown with the Myrtle Beach Seahawks this Saturday with a heart-pounding 29-27 come-from-behind victory over the Chapman Panthers last Friday night at Singleton Field in the Upper State title game.

The Lions held the lead for most of the contest, but with 1:06 to play Chapman rallied following a Daniel failed fake punt attempt to take its first lead at 27-26 after mounting a 10-play drive that ended with a Panther touchdown. We need you

Although it’s good to know about yellow dye no. 5, the color added to Mountain Dew and Sundrop for as many years as I’ve been alive, the news has probably come too late to make a difference to people of my generation. I quit drinking them some time back but unfortunately consumed enough gallons during my late teens and twenties to put me into a high risk category… There’s still time for all those younger
