‘Grumpy Old Men’ step up to the plate for Meals on Wheels
LIBERTY — A group from Six Mile, informally known as the “Grumpy Old Men,” is stepping up to the plate to help Pickens County Meals on Wheels raise the necessary funds to purchase the small wares (new pots, pans, and all essential utensils) needed to furnish its new kitchen facility in Liberty.

Nix reunion this Sunday
PICKENS — The annual Nix reunion for descendants of Ulysses and Lou Annie Monroe Nix is scheduled for Sunday, June 7.
The reunion will be held at Northside Baptist Church, located at 421 Sangamo Road in Pickens.
Lunch will be at 1 p.m. Plates, cups and ice will be furnished, and family members are asked to bring covered dishes, desserts and drinks.
Fine Arts Center to offer Rhythm Section Clinic

EASLEY — Rock Springs Baptist Church will host Vacation Bible School from June 15-19.
