Faye Harris Marple
CLEVELAND — Faye Carolyn Harris Marple, 78, of Cleveland, wife of the late Robert Neil Marple, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at her home.
Born in Charleston, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Vivian James Harris and was a retired educator for the Special School District of St. Louis, Mo.
Surviving are her three sons, Craig Scott Marple of Ravensdale, Wash., Mark Edward Marple

Pickens comes alive for annual Azalea Festival!
The city of Pickens celebrated spring with its 33rd annual Azalea Festival on Friday and Saturday. The event featured a classic car cruise-in and live music from The Tams on Friday night and a full day of festivities on Saturday, including food, a record number of arts and crafts vendors, rides, games, live music and much more.. Fundraiser planned to help Meals on Wheels and other local organizations
LIBERTY — Pickens County Meals on Wheels needs your help. Pickens County and PCMOW have found a way to create a fundraiser for Meals on Wheels and other area groups, classes and church or nonprofit organizations.
May 5-7, PCMOW will be presenting the play “Fried Apple Pies” at the new Liberty Civic Auditorium. Tickets are $5 at the door, and 100 percent of the ticket sales will go to Pickens County Meals on Wheels.
However, any organization can request to sell tickets prior to opening night for $5. The goup will receive $2 for every ticket sold. The remaining $3 will go to Meals on Wheels. There are 600 tickets available for each event, and all tickets are general admission. Tickets will be sold for specific days.
To request tickets, call 898-5831 with the number you need for each night. You do not have to purchase anything in advance. All you need to do is request the number of tickets

Grace United to hold yard sale to help mission team
PICKENS — The Bahamas Mission Team of Grace United Methodist Church is planning a yard sale for Saturday, April 22.
Proceeds from the 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. sale will be used to complete the construction of the Deep Creek United Methodist Church in Eleuthera, Bahamas.
Breakfast biscuits will be sold in the fellowship hall.
This has been four-year project of the Bahamas Mission Team at Grace.
