Courier Trespass Notices 8-16-17
In the state of South Carolina, trespass after notice is a misdemeanor criminal offense prohibited by section 16-11-620 for the South Carolina Code.
Those who enter upon the lands of others without the permission of the owner or manager shall be deemed guilty of misdemeanor trespassing. All persons are hereby notified and warned not to hunt, fish, cut timber or trespass in any manner whatsoever upon the lands of the undersigned:

More than 60 police officers and other emergency officials gathered for the second annual first responders prayer and appreciation rally at Café Connections in Pickens on Thursday, according to organizers. The turnout was more than double the number of first responders from the event’s first year. Local residents joined the first responders after breakfast for an 8:30 a.m. prayer session, and all first responders were presented with a gift bag to thank them for their service. Above, Rep. Police say charges possible in fatal wreck

LIBERTY — A Central man died in a car accident early Sunday morning.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said Abraham Abdallah Balawi, 20, of Ranch House Road, died at the scene of the accident.

Football season starts next week

Kimberly Hampton memorial being planned in Easley

EASLEY — An effort is underway to place a monument and memorial to U.S. Army Capt. Kimberly Hampton on the grounds of the library that bears her name.
An Easley native, Hampton died on Jan. 2, 2004, after her helicopter was shot down on the outskirts of Fallujah, Iraq. She was 27 years old.
Hampton was the first female pilot to be killed by hostile fire in U.S. history and the first female from South Carolina to die in combat in Iraq.
Pickens County Council members briefly discussed the monument/memorial during a called council meeting
Monday evening.
A resolution about the memorial was on the agenda.
