CLEMSON — Rivalry week in the Palmetto State has officially arrived, and after a runaway win over an admittedly overmatched opponent, the Tigers couldn’t feel much better about themselves going into their annual clash with South Carolina.
In their 61-3 thrashing of The Citadel on Saturday, the second-ranked Tigers (10-1) rolled up 662 yards of total offense, while the defense — which rested a number of starters — held the Bulldogs to just 216 yards in the feel-good win.
Quarterback Kelly Bryant finished 17-of-22 passing for 230 yards and

Liberty track star King inks with Stanford
Keyshawn King, a senior at Liberty High School, signed a letter of intent last week to join the track and field team at Stanford University. King chose Stanford over offers from Notre Dame, Brown, Georgia Tech, Wofford and others. The two-time state champion will be competing at the college level in the triple jump and long jump. He visited the school in September and met with the coaches and track team. “I was always taught to use track as a platform to get a higher education,” King said of his decision to attend the prestigious California school. “Stanford was the best fit for me academically and athletically.” King also had a message for the Liberty student body, which attended his signing ceremony. “Don’t let anyone tell you just because you are from Liberty you can’t go anywhere,” he said. “I would not be where I am or who I am without this place.”
It takes a village to cook a dinner
Grandmama believed that Thanksgiving dinner called for many hands. As she always said, “Idle hands are the devil’s workshop,” and truer words were never spoken.
Uncle Walter lived by these words, “If they can walk, they can work.” And that is pretty much the truth, unless the task involves using a very sharp knife.

Last minute Thanksgiving deserts

For The Courier

If you’re the hostess for your family Thanksgiving dinner and people are coming in from other locations, it can be difficult to get everything ready for a crowd. Especially if you’re the lone ranger in the kitchen.
I think we all try to do as much ahead as possible and freeze what we can, while at the same time putting clean sheets on all the beds and scrubbing floors.
These desserts are not complicated and don’t take a great deal of time
