Courier Trespass 1-3-18
In the state of South Carolina, trespass after notice is a misdemeanor criminal offense prohibited by section 16-11-620 for the South Carolina Code.

County councilman: Proactive planning for growth a challenge

EASLEY — Pickens County Council chairman Roy Costner said one of the county’s biggest challenges is preparing for predicted growth.
“Right now, Pickens County is slated to grow at 22 percent in the next 10 years,” he said.
Costner and vice chairman Chris Bowers spoke on growth at the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce’s recent State of the County luncheon.
As the county grows, “we’ve got to still provide those services,” Costner said.
“Water and sewer, the things I hate talking about,” he said. “That’s not the fun stuff.”
But those services are necessary for growth.

Comedy show set to benefit Easley family

GREENVILLE — Proceeds from a comedy show benefit will be given to an Easley family who recently lost a special member.
“A Very Special Episode of the Joke Show” will be held at 8 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Comedy Zone in Greenville, producer Carrie Adams said.
The show will benefit Craig Holcombe and his family. Holcombe’s wife, Amanda, died on Dec. 21, three weeks after being diagnosed with melanoma.
“It had already spread to her liver, pancreas, spleen and lungs,” Adams said. “It moved incredibly quickly. It’s just incredibly sad.”
Amanda created an Instagram hashtag “#melanomygodwtf” after being diagnosed.
“That hashtag is being used all over social media to help collect things associated with Amanda,” Adams said.
“Amanda was a writer — a really great writer,” Adams said. “Her Instagram posts are really poignant and very moving. Amanda was loved by so many
