Liberty set to host spring festival in May

LIBERTY — The Liberty festivals and events committee and the city of Liberty recently announced the upcoming Celebrate Liberty Spring Festival and the kick-off of Music in the Park.

The Celebrate Liberty Spring Festival is set for Saturday, May 26, from noon-7 p.m. in downtown Liberty.

A Memorial Weekend Honor Ride is scheduled as part of the festival. The ride benefits the local chapter of Upstate Warrior Solutions and

Pickens High Class of 1958 reunites

The members of the Pickens High School Class of 1958 enjoyed their 60th class reunion on Thursday, April 26, at the Gatehouse Restaurant in Pickens. The group enjoyed fellowship abd shared memories. Pictured, seated from left, are Jeanette Hughes Winchester, Carolyn Keasler Lesley, Angella Hinkle Bolding, Helen Collins Simmons, Ann Chapman Holcombe, Carolyn Powers Powell, Sarah Jones Rampey, Mary Jones Grant, Pat Mann Parrott and Dora Lou Leslie Hayes.
