Chastain Road Elementary named 2020 Model School
LIBERTY — The International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE), whose mission is to challenge, inspire and equip today’s educators, has named Chastain Road Elementary School a 2020 Model School for making rapid and significant improvements in student outcomes.
Chastain Road Elementary recognized the need for change, collectively established a vision, and systematically worked together to create a learning environment that enables students of all abilities to thrive.

Parkette is chamber member of the month
The Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce recently named The Parkette as its member of the month. The Parkette, located at 202F S. Catherine St. in Pickens, offers food service and catering, along with a daily restaurant that is open in Pickens Monday through Friday until 2 p.m. The Parkette’s menu features their famous barbecue along with daily specials. Pictured are owner Larry Looper and his staff with the chamber member of the month banner that will be displayed in front of the Parkette for the month.
