Now open in Pickens
On Saturday, Oct. 22, people gathered with their dogs to help cut the ribbon on Pickens’ newest pet supply store, Savvi Pet Accessories. The new store is located at 129 W. Main St. Owner Laci Roper creates custom collars, leashes and tags. She has a wide variety of pet supplies for cats and dogs, such as toys, treats, clothes, accessories and more. On hand were Jake Turnick with Sheela, Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce president Bryan Owens, Pat Mulkey with Ringo, Dana Roper, Ruth Holiday, Noah Holiday, Corey Brown with Annabelle, Laci Roper, Wyatt Roper, Jenna Brown, Carson Castor, Pickens Mayor Fletcher Perry, Amber Finley with Moose, Ember McCall, Easton McCall and Melissa Shaw. • Six Mile Baptist to host ‘Feast-O-Plenty’
Six Mile Baptist Church will host the 15th annual “Feast-o-Plenty” from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19.
Last year, approximately 200 people joined the church for the dinner, and this year organizers are hoping to share with even more.
The meal will be served at the Roper Building, located at 150 N. Main St. in Six Mile. The event is a free Thanksgiving meal for anyone living
