LIBERTY — Following the resignation of athletic director Hal McManus last month, Liberty High School has selected a familiar face to fill the role.

Stovall speaks to Rotary
Miss Easley 2023 Alli Stovall had the pleasure of speaking at the Easley Rotary Club on May 9. Stovall lives in Charleston, where she attends Charleston Southern University. She has been a great representative pf Easley after being crowned in November 2022. She started her own nonprofit organization, “Armor Of Knowledge,” helping youth understand areas of life and knowing their self worth. She also wrote her first book “Seeing Red,” which will be on sale soon. Stovall will compete this June 20-24 for the title of Miss South Carolina at the Township Auditorium in Columbia.
Fleet Reserve helps with fishing rodeo
Eight shipmates from Fleet Reserve Branch 015 assisted at the DNR Youth Fishing Rodeo on May 13 at the Piedmont Tree Nursery. Chick-fil-A donated 300 chicken sandwiches. Cans of soda, bags of chips and ice cream sandwiches were donated from other sources. FRA members assembled the meals so they were ready for the young people and their parents when they were done fishing. Above left is a photo of the prizes awarded.
