Daniel girls top Walhalla in OT

CENTRAL — Heading into overtime tied at 1-1 with the Walhalla Razorbacks, the Daniel girls’ soccer team seemed in danger of dropping its first region game in 48 contests.
Instead, the Lions came out of the break playing the best it had all night, quickly adding a goal off Jaden Fleming’s fantastic corner kick finish

Whitaker honored at Senior Day
Amazing Shake Finals
Pickens Middle School is thrilled to announce that five Sparks (students at PMS) attended the Global Amazing Shake in Atlanta, Ga., recently. Although they did not have anyone to qualify for the Top 50, they did have a Spark receive a medal for showing the most spirit. PMS is super excited about their Sparks’ skills that were displayed during the event. Pictured are Ethan Bishop, Wesson Griffin, Addison Norris, Aubrey Beeco and Ella Tetor.

The Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce recently announced their April Member of the Month as The Sandwich Shop, inside the Market at the Mill located at 225 Pumpkintown Highway, Warehouse #2 in Pickens. Fleet Reserve Association, Branch 15 meets on the third Saturday of each month at Chicopee United Methodist Church, located at 403 S. Catherine St. in Walhalla.
