Daniel tennis falls in state title match

CENTRAL — The winner of the last two Class 3A Upper State championships, the Daniel High School boys’ tennis team took on Clinton on Wednesday looking for a three-peat.
The Lions accomplished their goal, downing the Red Devils 5-1 in a showcase of their depth and talent as they advanced to this weekend’s State championship.

Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive planned for Saturday
COUNTY — This Saturday, May 11, will mark the 32nd anniversary of one of America’s great days of giving — the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Letter carriers walk through the community every day, often coming face to face with a sad reality for too many — hunger.

Connect Powdersville as annouced the AnMed Rhythm on the River music festival will be now be held on one May 19. The Event was set for last Saturday, but the the threat of severe weather conditions, including lightning.
The festival will be from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. The new date allows the group to deliver a safe, exceptional and memorable event of sponsors, vendors, and attendees expect and deserve.
