Wall that Heals visit postponed

LIBERTY — The Liberty visit from the Wall That Heals, originally scheduled for Nov. 8-11, has been postponed.

The event, hosted by Pickens County Veterans Affairs office, would have brought the preeminent replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to the area for Vietnam veterans, family

PYAC to host annual Trunk or Treat Oct. 26

 

PICKENS — With Halloween drawing nearer, it’s time to start to planning for the holiday.

The Pickens Youth Athletic Corporation will be hosting its annual Trunk or Treat from 6-8 p.m. this Saturday, Oct. 26, at Bruce Field, located at 310 Planer St. in Pickens.

The event will be a free event with music, candy and lots of fun.

American Towers LLC is proposing to construct a 177-ft self-support telecommunications tower at 401 Hampton Avenue, Pickens, Pickens County, SC, Tax Parcel Number 4181-16-93-5143. The new tower will not be lit and the tower facility will include a 40-ft by 40-ft lease area and associated easements, along with a 30ft buffer surrounding the lease area.  American Towers LLC seeks comments from all interested persons on any potential significant impact the proposed action could have on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.1307, including potential impacts to historic or cultural resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places. Interested persons may comment or raise concerns about the proposed action by submitting an e-mail to enviro.services@americantower.com.
