Liberty City Administrator resigns
LIBERTY — Liberty city administrator Philip Trotter tendered his resignation last week.
In a letter to Mayor Erica Romo Woods and city council dated Oct. 14, Trotter expressed his “deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve the City of Liberty and for the professional relationships I have built during my time here.”
“It has been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team and to contribute to the positive steps we have made together in advancing our city’s growth and development,” he wrote. “We have made meaningful progress

Halloween events set throughout county

Pickens council hears concerns with annexation

PICKENS — With the city of Pickens still weighing whether it will annex a 200-plus acre lot so that it may be developed into a subdivision, citizens voiced their concerns with the proposed development at the Pickens City Council meeting held on Oct. 14.

Agencies team to help after Hurricane Helene

COUNTY — Four Pickens County football players received a huge honor this week as they were selected to the Touchstone Energy North-South All-Star football game.
Daniel’s Bruce Brown and Spencer Conn, Easley’s Jonathan Isham and Liberty’s Logan Smith were selected for the game.
