Sounds like an idyllic life, right?
Dear Editor,
From the day they come into the world, their lives are taken care of. Free food, free water, free place to live. No cares in the world. Heat and air-conditioning provided, yes, free too.
Sounds like an idyllic life, doesn’t it! Yes, and it is! That is until the day the truck comes and they are loaded up to be carried away to the slaughterhouse! I’m talking about chickens.
They do have everything I described, but with a price. As it’s been said, “There are no free lunches.” So

Six Mile ‘Feast-o-Plenty’ is Nov. 23
SIX MILE — Six Mile Baptist Church will host the 17th annual “Feast-o-Plenty” from 1l a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.

Grand opening
On Oct. 5, Dr. Jessica Johnson cut the ribbon on the new location for the physician-owned and operated Grace Medical Aesthetics. Johnson is a board-certified family medicine physician who has been practicing in the Upstate since 2014. • Dacusville Lions to host monthly bingo
The Dacusville Lions Club will be hosting Bingo night on the second Thursday of each month at the Lions Building in Dacusville, located at 1384 Thomas Mill Road. The next Bingo session will be Thursday, Nov. 14. There are set to be 10 games beginning at 7 p.m., and proceeds will go toward funding community events and other community needs. The games should conclude around 9 p.m. Bingo night will be a family-friendly event, and monetary prizes will be available. Cards are $1 each, with no limit on the number of cards that can be purchased for each round.
