Liberty City Administrator resigns

LIBERTY — Liberty city administrator Philip Trotter tendered his resignation last week.

In a letter to Mayor Erica Romo Woods and city council dated Oct. 14, Trotter expressed his “deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve the City of Liberty and for the professional relationships I have built during my time here.”

Halloween events set throughout county

Pickens council hears concerns with annexation

PICKENS — With the city of Pickens still weighing whether it will annex a 200-plus acre lot so that it may be developed into a subdivision, citizens voiced their concerns with the proposed development at the Pickens City Council meeting held on Oct. 14.

Agencies team to help after Hurricane Helene

COUNTY — The days following the destruction brought by Hurricane Helene last month have been filled with local agencies assisting residents, state agencies assisting county agencies and area residents helping their neighbor to the north.

County players named North-South All-Stars

Early voting available to county voters

COUNTY — Early Voting is now available to voters statewide for the Nov. 5 Statewide General Election.
