COUNTY — A Georgia woman remains missing, two weeks after last being seen in a campground at Table Rock State Park.

Roper provides update on new EMS building

COUNTY — Earlier this month, Pickens County Administrator Ken Roper fielded questions from residents for a Facebook Live Q&A while standing near an active construction site behind the county’s Administration Building.

Area men die in separate accidents

COUNTY — Two area men died after succumbing to injuries suffered in separate accidents this month, according to the Pickens County Coroner’s Office.

Pickens County Chief Deputy Coroner said in a release issued March 12 that Martin Levins, 63, of Clemson was involved in an apparent single vehicle accident on March 3, 2025.

Roper discusses home title thefts

COUNTY — Although some may be concerned about a rise in home title thefts, the registration of a fraudulent deed is still a rare occurrence, according to County Administrator Ken Roper.

During an Ask the Administrator segment on Facebook Live, Roper was asked why the county’s Register of Deeds remains public and online, considering the rise in title thefts.

He said governments are dealing with the issue in different ways.

County Council approves recreation funding and litter ordinance changes
