2nd Upstate Youth Rally set for Oct. 6 in Pickens
PICKENS — The second annual Upstate Youth Rally, hosted by All For Him Ministry, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6 at Bruce Field in Pickens.
This year’s event will feature Seven Day Slumber, Blank Pages and The Beautiful Refrain. Gates will open at 5 p.m., with music starting at 6 p.m.
But with Upstate Youth Rally, it isn’t about putting on a show, it’s about giving people a chance to listen to people who preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and seeing the lost find faith in the Savior.
In conjunction with the youth rally, the ministry is hosting a motorcycle ride to raise toys for All For Him Ministry’s Christian Santa outreach. The ride will start on Main Street in Pickens at noon the day of the rally and end at Bruce Field. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. Cost is $10 and one unopened toy.
Last year the ministry hadthe privilege of helping 55 needy kids by providing toys and clothes for Christmas. The ministry hopes with the help of this year’s motorcycle ride, they can gather enough toys to triple that number this Christmas.
The ministry wants to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers that stepped up and helped out with putting this event together.
Sponsors include Making Headwaves, New Look Salon, Petals Flowers and Gifts, Escape Wellness Spa, J&J Graphics of West Union, Huntin Camp BBQ of Travelers Rest, Publix of Easley, Nine Times Design, Save-A-Lot, Pizza Inn, Ingles, Little Ceasars, The Corner Drug, Rose, Jennifer and Tina From State Farm of Pickens, McDonalds of Pickens, McDonalds of Moonville and American Waffle.
