• LOWV set to meet April 15 in Clemson

“How to Run a Troll Farm: The Evolution of Disinformation,” a program of the League of Women Voters Oconee and Pickens Counties, is set to be held at 4 p.m. April 15 at the United Methodist Church at 300 Frontage Road in Clemson.
The presenters will be Darren Linvill and Patrick Warren, co-directors of the Clemson University Watt Family Innovation Center Media Forensics Hub. They will describe the changing nature of how foreign states attempt to influence Western politics. Discussion will include specific tactics countries like Russia and China use to manipulate social discourse, using real-world examples. This program is open to the public.

• Dacusville Lions to host monthly bingo

The Dacusville Lions Club will be hosting Bingo night on the second Thursday of each month at the Lions Building in Dacusville, located at 1384 Thomas Mill Road.
The next Bingo session will be Thursday, April 10. There are set to be 10 games beginning at 7 p.m., and proceeds will go toward funding community events and other community needs.
The games should conclude around 9 p.m. Bingo night will be a family-friendly event, and monetary prizes will be available.

• H.O.P.E. to have new day and time

Dillard Memorial Funeral Home and Hillcrest Memorial Park have announced the renewal of its H.O.P.E Ministries program. The program, which helps others through programs and the exchange of ideas and information, will host its next meeting on April 22. “We are pleased to offer this as a support system for families in our community and surrounding areas who have experienced a loss,” said Tanya Gravely, general manager of Dillard Memorial Funeral Home. • UWC hosts spring market on April 12

United Wesleyan Church, located at 738 Rice Road in Easley, will host a spring market Saturday, April 12, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Set to be held in the church’s Lifeline building, the event will offer free admission.
The market will feature a variety of local vendors, door prizes, concessions and a bake sale.
All proceeds from the fundraiser will go to the church’s Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry to help send shoeboxesfilled with gifts to children around the world while sharing the love of Jesus Christ one shoebox at a time.

• Sertoma Club invites locals to meet

The Clemson Sertoma Club invites all local residents to attend its meetings. The club meets at noon the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Occasions at Wedgefield, located at 1551 Eighteen Mile Road in Central. New visitors are always welcome.
