• Knitting and felting presentation planned

“Three Ways to Knit and Two to Felt: Traditional Knitting (Tally Parker); Finger Knitting (Sharon Moon); Loom Knitting, Needle Felting and Wet Felting (Debi Garrett)” will be presented Wednesday, Jan. 14, noon-1 p.m. in the Fiber Arts Room of the Pickens Community Center at 129 School House St., Pickens.

At the close of the presentation, you will be able to register for one or more hands-on sessions to be given on the different topics in the near future.

• Sertoma Club invites locals to meet

The Clemson Sertoma Club invites all interested local residents to attend its meetings. The club meets at noon the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Occasions at Wedgefield, located at 1551 Eighteen Mile Road in Central. New visitors are always welcome.

• Rock and Roll Club to meet January 27

The next meeting of the Rock and Roll Oldies Club of the Upstate on Tuesday, Jan. 27, will be at Starving Artist Cafe, 114 NW Main St, Easley. The meeting begins with dinner from 6-7 p.m. and runs until 8:30 p.m., with music and dancing throughout the evening.

• Grief support class planned for Easley

A grief support class is planned in Easley for adults starting March 5. The 10 weekly sessions will help you cope and adjust with the painful reality of your deep loss in the presence of those who are or have been where you are.

The group’s focus is on basic principles and tools using Alan Wolfelt’s five-star book, “Understanding Your Grief: Ten Essential Touchstones for Finding Hope and Healing Your Heart.” The classes will be on Thursdays, from noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Williams House next to Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown, 305 West Main St. in Easley.

• ‘Bored? Games’ now offered at library

The Easley Chess and Checkers Club is no longer just chess and checkers; The group has added all of its board games. Join the group every Thursday from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Hampton Memorial Library in Easley for Bored? Games.
