EASLEY — A Greenville man has been charged and arrested in connection with sexual crimes against a 12-year-old Easley girl.
Investigators with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office have charged Joshua Dean Bannister, 27, of 12 Leland Circle in Greenville, with five counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
The alleged incidents involved a 12-year-old female victim and occurred in February and March of this year.
Deputies believe the crimes happened at the residence where the victim and her family reside in Easley. The suspect is a stepbrother to the victim but does not reside at the family residence.
Warrants were served on the Bannister on April 11. He was booked at the Pickens County Law Enforcement Center, where bond was denied on all charges. He is currently being held at the Pickens County Detention Center.
