World of Energy plans free outdoor movie night
UPSTATE — The World of Energy plans to host a free outdoor movie night on Friday, May 15, beginning at 9 p.m., featuring the family-friendly hit “Penguins of Madagascar.”
This is the sixth year in a row the World of Energy and the Oconee Nuclear Station have hosted outdoor movies for the community.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket and snacks, or snacks will be available for purchase. Guests can also watch the movie in their boats from the shoreline on Lake Keowee. No pets or alcoholic beverages are permitted.
Limited parking will be available at the World of Energy, and additional parking is available across the street from the World of Energy entrance on S.C. Highway 130 and will be marked with directional signs.
Complimentary shuttle service from the overflow parking area to the World of Energy will be provided, as well as transportation to the lake’s peninsula for those who need it.
