COUNTY — The Pickens County Sheriff’s office continued their crack down on Auto breakings last week with the third arrest in a non-releated crime last Friday.

The PCSO located a suspicious male in the area of Central during the early morning hours on July 3.

In a release Pickens County Chief deputy Creed Hashe said, “As Deputies interviewed the man identified as Andre Jaquez Warren of Augusta, GA, they quickly learned that he was a suspect in numerous criminal acts involving theft from motor vehicles.”

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Office who worked around the clock believed the suspect was responsible for breaking into at a minimum of 32 vehicles parked at residences, 18 of the automobiles had windows busted out of the vehicle to allow access to personal items left inside.

Nine handguns, cash, sunglasses, wallets and electronic items were among the property stolen from several of the vehicles.

The investigation is still on-going and it is believed that a second man also from Georgia also played a role in these crimes. Charges against the second individual are expected pending additional investigation.

A total of 44 criminal charges have been served on Warren as of this date.

Andre Jaquez Warren, 19, is currently detained within the Pickens County Detention Facility with a total bond set at $121,000.00. He is charged 31 counts of Auto Breaking, 11 counts of Petit Larceny, one count of possession of Buglary Tools and one count of Grand Larcey.
