Azalea Festival Information Booth – Pickens Azalea Festival committee members will be on hand to provide information, restroom locations and schedule of events. Stop by and pick up an Azalea Festival special edition paper. Ask how you can become a volunteer. Pickens Azalea Festival Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Booth – Located in front of the main stage near the PC Court House.
The Greater Pickens Chamber of Commerce – The Chamber provides important services to its over 130 members, as well as to the community who supports our area businesses and local economy, including events, Pride in Pickens Beautification, and the Leadership Pickens County programs – to name only a few events the chamber focuses on each year. Annually, hundreds of calls flow into the Chamber of Commerce office seeking information concerning Pickens from people considering relocation to the area or from those thinking of adding the city to their list of places to visit. In addition, visitors to Pickens come into the office located at 222 West Main Street in search of places they can visit, restaurants for dining, and stores for shopping. American Legion – The American Legion serves this festival favorite to raise funds for the betterment of the community through participation in many activities, including Elementary School Flag Patrol Training. High School JROTC and $500 scholarship for patriotic oratory. Post 11 is part of the largest war-time Veterans organization in the world “STILL SERVING AMERICA.” Booth 101
Pickens Rotary Club – Get your Souvenir Azalea Festival T-Shirt, featuring award-winning Azalea Art. The award is annually presented to and art student at Pickens High School who created the winning design for the 2016 Pickens Azalea Festival. Booth 222
Pickens Garden Club – It’s planting Time! Buy your plants, flowers and herbs from the Pickens Garden Club. Education and beautification are the goals of the Pickens Garden Club, which was organized in 1920. The club has planted trees, put up bird feeders and brought flowers to nursing homes. We maintain the rose gardens at the Hagood-Mauldin House and sponsor an Arbor Day activity. The Village Library in Pickens has many books on birds, gardening and related subjects donated by the club. Pickens County Storm water Partners– Pickens County along with the cities of Pickens, Easley, Liberty have collaborated with Clemson University’s Carolina Clear program to educate and involve residents in storm water management. Pickens County 4-H – For all youth wherever they live on farms, suburbs and cities. They serve from all back grounds and interest. It reaches both boys and girls through 4-H clubs, special-interest groups and short term projects such as school-age child care, individual and family learning and mentoring, camping and school in enrichment.
