PICKENS — First responders in the Pickens area are invited to Café Connections for a special appreciation breakfast on Aug. 4. The event is a way to show the community’s appreciation for the service they provide and to set the stage for a public prayer rally. The event is set to begin at 8:30 a.m. at Café Connections, located at 319 E. Main St. in Pickens.

Everyone is encouraged to come out and bring their friends to the prayer rally as the community is brought together to pray for and with the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office, along with area police, fire and EMS departments.
