Willis seeking fourth term on council

EASLEY — Pickens County Councilwoman Jennifer Willis, currently serving as chairman of the county council, has announced her re-election campaign for the District 5 seat, representing Easley. Willis officially filed March 16. She will be seeking her fourth term on county council.
During her tenure on council, Willis has been a strong advocate for the future of the families who make Pickens County home. Focusing on economic development, Willis has recruited new businesses, retained existing businesses that then expanded, adding more than 3,700 new jobs, while maintaining services without a tax increase despite the challenging economic times.
“It has been an honor to serve the citizens of Easley as their councilwoman, and I am eager to continue the work that I have begun, retaining and creating jobs for our citizens, planning for our families and their future,” Willis said. “It is critical that we continue actively recruiting business while aggressively managing our resources as efficiently as possible. We have a gem in Pickens County, and we must protect it.”
