Christopher David Logan
Greenville — Christopher David Logan, 30, husband of Lori Redding Logan, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012.
Born in Pickens, he was a son of Donna Jean Davis Ballard. Mr. Logan was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife and mother, are two brothers, Derrick Logan and Seth Ballard; and grandparents, Donald and Emma Jean Davis and loving family.
The funeral service was at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17 in the Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest Chapel.

Kelly Denise Tumblin
Metcalf
Easley — Kelly Denise Tumblin Metcalf, 42, of 107 Red Oak Ct., died Monday, April 9, 2012 at her home.
Born Oct. 3, 1969 in Greenville County, she was the daughter of Jack Tumblin of Simpsonville and the late Frances Mann Tumblin. She was employed with Kongsberg Automotive. An outdoors girl, she loved to hike, fish, going to the mountains and baking cakes for her friends and family.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her children, Nichole Davis (Scott), Mike Metcalf and Matt Metcalf; brothers, William Tumblin and Eddie Tumblin; grandchildren, Bradley Stewart and Caden Davis.
Memorial services were conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 15 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road.

Joe Williams

Pickens — Joseph C. Williams, 67, of Pickens, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012.
Born in Greenville County, he was the son of the late Alexander Campbell and Ruby Kelly Williams. He was a graduate of Blue Ridge High School.
Joe proudly served our country in the U.S. Army and the 82nd Airborne Division. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his loving wife, Judi Childs Williams, of the home; his children, Kellie (Jamal) Smith, of Easley; Jody (Wendy) Williams, of Liberty and Chris Williams, of Pickens; four grandchildren, Kandace and Elijah Smith; and Mathieu and Alex Williams; and one sister, Betty (Stan) Williams, of Pickens.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Martha Smith and Marie Waters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunrise Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 2 – 3:15 p.m. at the funeral home.

Garrett Clark
SIX MILE — Garrett Clark, 60, formerly of Pickens, died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Heritage Healthcare in Toccoa, Ga.
Born in Pickens, he was the son of the late Justis and Jessie Marie Diltz Clark. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved gardening and fishing. He was a member of Gap Hill Baptist Church.
Surviving are many loving friends who will miss him dearly.
Graveside services for Mr. Clark were held Friday at 3 p.m. at Gap Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mary G. Jones
Six Mile — Mary Glisson Jones, 79, of 308 Powder Mill Road and wife of William Gerald Jones died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Atlanta, Ga. she was a daughter of the late Frederick Leslie and Thelma Timmermann Glisson. She was a former nursing recruiter at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. and was of the Baha’i faith.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons: John R. Arnold III of Palm City, Fla. and Barton Cox Shepherd of Athens, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Marcella Arnold, John Arnold IV and Luke Cason Shepherd. She was a friend of Bill.
A memorial service was held in Clemson. Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Monday at Magnolia Cemetery in Andalusia, Ala.

Jeff Carroll
Easley — Mr. Jeffery Scott Carroll, 49, died Monday, April 9, 2012.
Born in Lake City, Fla., a son of the late Wilbur Odell and Rossie Brannon Carroll, Mr. Carroll was employed with Lockheed Martin.
Surviving are a daughter, Jessica Scott Carroll of Easley; two brothers, Bobby Eugene Carroll of Easley and Ricky Odell Carroll of Lake City, Fla.; one sister, Barbara Jean Stone of Lake City, Fla. and a granddaughter, Alora Jane King.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carroll was predeceased by a brother, David Wayne Carroll.
Memorial services were 12 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown.

Robert “Bob” William Loomis

Pickens — Robert “Bob” William Loomis, 76, of Pickens, died on Saturday, April 7, 2012.
Born in Palo Alto, Calif., he was the son of the late Harry and Joyce Loomis.
Bob attended UC Davis, graduating in 1957. He entered the U.S. Army, and served honorably for 23 years serving as an Infantry, Military Police, Intelligence and Public Affairs Officer, retiring in 1980 with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. His highest military decorations and awards include the Bronze Star Medal and Legion of Merit with one Oak Leaf Cluster. He received a graduate certificate in public relations from American University. Following retirement he was employed as a financial advisor and a college level instructor. He returned to school at the University of Colorado and was awarded a Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Services in 1989. He practiced as a Mental Health Counselor and as a clinical hypnotherapist until fully retiring in 2004. Confirmed in 1963, Bob became an enthusiastic and devoted Episcopalian. He was a member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Easley since 1994. He was an active Eucharistic Minister and Eucharistic Visitor. He also coordinated the St. Michael’s Lay Ministry program, served as a vestry member, Senior Warden and Diocesan trainer for the Eucharistic Visitors. He was very active in Cursillo. Bob was dedicated to sharing God’s message. He shared his love of travel with his wife, family and many friends and captured his worldwide travels through the eye of a camera lens. He touched many people around the world. He was also a member of the African Violet Society.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife Maridell Cunningham Loomis. He was a devoted husband for 35 years. He is also survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Teri “TB” and Michael Caroglanian of Frederick, Md.; his very special grandsons Jeremy and Andrew Caroglanian also of Frederick, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Helen Loomis and their children Ellery and Ashley of Pasadena, Md.; son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Robin Loomis and their children Timothy, Kari and Jeffrey of Sugar Hill, Ga.
He was predeceased by his sister, Grace Robertson. He was a friend to all that knew him.
A memorial service was held June 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Easley. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC with full military honors at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1200 Powdersville Road, Easley, South Carolina 29642.

David Alan Norwood
Piedmont — David Alan Norwood, 51, husband of Brenda Faye Roper Norwood, of Piedmont, died on Friday, April 13, 2012.
David was born in Madison, Ind., a son of Thelma Louise Howard Norwood and the late Aubrey C. Norwood. He was a retired painter.
Survivors include his wife Brenda, of the home, sons Robert Buddy Kellett (Sabrina) of Easley, and Allen A. Norwood (Heather) of Fayetteville, N.C. and a daughter Adicia Creel (Timothy) of Piedmont and grandchildren Gavin Bryson Kellett, Hannah Grace Kellett, and Keegan Creel. Also surviving is a brother Curtis Norwood (Cindy) of Travelers Rest and sisters Debra Godfrey of Liberty, Karen Swan (Ansel) of Greenville, and Jane Bently of Simpsonville. David is also survived by his devoted dog Jasper.
In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Ray Norwood and brother-in-law Mike Bently.
A memorial service was held 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 17 in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens with the Rev. Lewis Edwards officiating.

Carl Allsep
Norris — Carl Parker Allsep, 75, of Garrett Drive, died Saturday at Seneca Health and Rehab.
Born in Seneca, he was the husband of Nancy Thomas Allsep of the home and a son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Ella Mae Parker Allsep. He was retired from the Pendleton-Clemson Waste Water Treatment Plant and a member of Calumet Baptist Church. He was also a GREAT Gamecock.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Keith Allsep and his wife Teresa of Round Rock, Texas and Rodney Allsep of Seneca; two brothers, Tom Allsep of Seneca and Doug Allsep of Warner Robins, Ga.; and a granddaughter, Kayla Allsep of Seneca.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Allsep and Vera McDonald; and a brother, Floyd Allsep.
Funeral services for Mr. Allsep will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at the mortuary. Entombment will follow at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Wally Thomas

Six Mile — Walter “Wally” Thomas, Jr., 80, husband of Betty Kinsey Thomas of Six Mile died Saturday, April 14, 2012.
Wally was born in Jefferson, Ky., a son of the late Walter and Emma Hall Thomas. He was retired from Pratt-Lambert/Sherwin-Williams Paints after 43 years service. He was a member of West End Baptist Church in Easley, a lifetime member of The Wheaton V.F.W. Post in Wheaton, Ill. and Mooseheart in Batavia, Ill. Wally served in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Betty Thomas of the home, three sons, two daughters, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and three nieces.
Funeral services were conducted 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 16 in the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Pickens. Burial followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

Six Mile — Francis Marion Caddell, 70, of 258 Mountain View Church Road, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in Six Mile he was a son of the late George and Hattie Mae Tanner Caddell.
Surviving are his wife, Ellen Howard Caddell; two sons, Gregg & Steven Caddell; a brother, Harold Caddell; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services to honor Marion’s life were 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
