JUSTIN ERIC ROACH
Central — Justin Eric Roach, 16, of 113 Rebecca Lane, Central, died Monday, April 23, 2012.
A native of Anderson County, Justin was the son of Winston Cliff Eric Roach and Teresa Marlene McAlister Roach. He was a student at Daniel High School. He enjoyed the outdoors where he loved mountain biking and fishing. He also loved music and played the guitar.
In addition to his parents, Justin is survived by a brother, Cody Nathaniel Roach, of the home; maternal grandmother, Edith McAlister; and paternal grandparents, Gerald and Doris McAllister.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 27 at 2 p.m. at New Beginnings Church in Six Mile. Burial followed at Kings Grove Baptist Church Cemetery also in Six Mile.

Rev. J. Lerlin Dow
Pickens — The Rev. James Lerlin Dow, 70, of Shady Grove Road, died on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late James Ansel Dow and Sara Elizabeth Moore Dow. The Rev. Dow was a graduate of North Greenville University, William Carey University and Southeastern Seminary. He pastored churches in both SC and NC for 42 years and will be sadly missed by his family and his church family.
Surviving are; his wife of the home, Mildred Jane Alexander Dow; three sons, Mark Lerlin Dow, Jonathan Ansel Dow (Amanda) and Benjamin Alexander Dow (Sarah) all of Pickens; five grandchildren, Alexandria Golden Dow, Olivia Helene Dow, Lauren Elizabeth Dow, Evan Ansel Dow, and Brooks Alexander Dow; and two sisters, Irene Dow Murphy (Jim) and LaNelle Dow Grubbs (Dan) all of Greenwood.
A service to celebrate the Rev. Dow’s life was held on Saturday, May 19 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Entombment followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Shirley Ann Morris
Pickens — Shirley Ann Morris, 69, died Tuesday, May 16, 2012 at her home.
Born in Pickens County a daughter of David Moon of Easley and the late Lois Mae York Moon.
Survivors include her father and step mother David and Nellie Moon of Easley, a son Harley Ray Thompson of Greenville, a daughter Vicky Johnston of Marion, three sisters Sue Austin, Teresa Watts (Keith) and Lisa Mathis (James), four brothers Keith Moon (Elaine), Donnie Moon (Betty), Dale Moon (Denah), and Carlton Evett (Linda).
Shirley was predeceased by her mother, a sister Debra Moon and brothers Kenneth Moon and Leroy Evett.
A memorial graveside service was held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 22 at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens conducted by the Rev. Mark Dibler.

Timothy Trammell
Easley — Timothy Michael Trammell, 52, of 112 Lacy Lane, died Friday, May 18, 2012 at his residence.
Born in Easley he was a son of John T. Trammell and the late Reba Mae Stone Martin. He was currently employed by Alice Manufacturing and previously worked at Liberty Denim.
Surviving in addition to his father of the home are his wife, Judy Trammell; two step daughters, BJ and Nikki Searcy; a step son, Jamie Searcy; a sister, Debbie Geiyer of Atlanta; two brothers, Johnny Trammell and Scotty Trammell both of Easley; three grandchildren.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Trammell.
The family will be at the home.

Hazel L. Southerland
Easley — Mrs. Hazel Lesley Southerland, 89, wife of 68 years to the late James Lowell Southerland, died Friday, May 18, 2012 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Henry Gordon and Lessie Marchbanks Lesley, Mrs. Southerland was a graduate of Easley High School and was a retired Cosmetologist. She was a member of McKissick Memorial United Methodist Church for 70 years and also a member of Zion United Methodist Church. Hazel was a member of the United Methodist Women for 70 years and a member of the Serendipity Quilters.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean S. Thomas and her husband, Willis, of Lamar; Lynn S. Owens and her husband, Phil, of Easley; one brother, H. Gordon “Junior” Lesley of Easley; one sister, Grace L. Houston of Easley; four grandchildren, Brantlee Odom of Lamar, Bryan Thomas (Shannon) of Hawaii, Jill Owens of Portland, Ore. and Diana Owens of Easley; four great-grandchildren, Justin and Kaitlyn Odom, and Hanna and Ella Thomas; and a special cousin, Linda Gardo Garrison.
Memorial services were 11 a.m. Monday, May 21 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Mike Cox officiating. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Baptist Easley Hospital.

Morris E. Vinson

Pickens — Morris Eugene Vinson, 79, husband of Eula Vinson died Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012 at Baptist Easley Hospital.
Mr. Vinson was born at Scaly Mountain, N.C., a son of the late Ralph Edward and Reba Chastain Vinson. He was retired from Platt Saco Lowell in Easley and was a Baptist. Mr. Vinson was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of The American Legion in Highlands, N.C.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Eula Rogers Vinson of the home, sons, Ralph Eugene Vinson (Faye) of Hickory Tavern, Melvin Dean Vinson of Pickens and Tony Travis Vinson of Plano, Texas. Also surviving is his sister, Gladys McDowell of Highlands, N.C. and grandchildren, Brandon Vinson, Derek Vinson, Fallon Vinson, Channing Vinson, Connor Vinson, and Chandler Vinson and great grandchildren Landen Vinson, Savannah Vinson, and Laney Vinson.
Graveside services were conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 23 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Tommy Hayes officiating.
