EASLEY — Two people are dead following a head-on collision on S.C. 183 Sunday morning.
Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said that Darrell Foster McCoy Sr., 52, and Nancy Marie Seal, 65, were both pronounced dead at the scene from blunt force trauma. Both victims were from Easley.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, McCoy’s 2001 Nissan sedan crossed the centerline and hit a 2008 Chevrolet driven by Seal. McCoy was not wearing a seat belt, but Seal was restrained, according to Kelley
The accident happened near Hitt Road at 9:10 a.m. and is still under investigation by the Pickens County Coroner’s Office and the SCHP.
