Easley Fourth of July Festival set for 2 days

EASLEY — On July 3 and 4 Easley plans to celebrate America.
The festivities will begin at 2 p.m. on Tuesday the July 3 and go until 10 p.m. that night. The festival will reopen at 2 p.m. on the Wednesday, July 4 and continue until 11 p.m. that evening.
“A July 4th festival, in some form, has been held here in Easley for almost five decades and has always been a great opportunity for families to come see crafts, eat festival food, ride carnival rides, hear great music and be entertained.
“This year will be much more of the same only better”, according to Scott Buckhiester, VP of Operations for DunBurks Premier Events and Conference Center.
“DunBurks began management of Easley’s events four years ago and Celebrate America has become the highlight of each year for the community. We put in a major amount of time and focus into this event and it is always a wonderful time for everyone”, Buckhiester said.
This year’s festival will began on July 3 with vendors of all kinds, carnival rides, live entertainment in the new amphitheater and a “ classic car” cruise-in starting at 5 p.m. The cruise-in started three years ago and it has developed into one of the most popular parts of the festival. Classic or custom cruisers are welcome to check-in from 4 to 5 p.m. at the intersection of Pendleton Street and 1st Avenue.
Once again, there will be carnival rides for all ages on both days of the festival. Tickets are $1 each and each ride is from one to four tickets. Two specials are available. Both days you can buy 25 tickets for $20 and on Tuesday, July 3rd, an unlimited ride wristband will be available for $15 from 2 until 7 p.m.
The Flashbacks will headline the stage on Tuesday from 7 until 10 p.m. and Encore will headline on Wednesday.
The famous Easley’s fireworks display will begin at 9:45 p.m. on July 4.
