Christine Nix Julian of Easley celebrated her 90th birthday at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with a party hosted by her children. She was born on Aug. 4, 1927, the oldest of the eight children of John and Mary Nix. She married Cecil Julian on Aug. 15, 1949. The couple had two children, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She received her bachelor’s degree from Furman and her master’s degree from Clemson. She taught school in Washington state, Florence and several schools in Pickens County. All her relatives and friends wish her many more happy birthdays.
