Linda Minnick Plaintiff, v. Bryan Hardy Davis Defendant(s).
Plaintiff, complaining of Defendant, would respectfully show unto the Court that:
I.
Plaintiff is a citizen and resident of Greenville County, South Carolina.
II.
At all times relevant to this Complaint, Defendant was a citizen and resident of Pickens County, South Carolina.
III.
On or about July 2, 2014 Plaintiff was a passenger in a vehicle that was traveling on Rutherford Road in Greenville County, South Carolina. Defendant was driving an automobile at or near the same location. Defendant’s automobile crossed the center line and struck the automobile in which Plaintiff was a passenger.
IV.
Defendant failed to keep a proper lookout, failed to stay in his lane of travel, and failed to yield the right of way.
V.
In addition, Defendant was driving under the influence of alcohol.
VI.
Defendant’s actions were negligent and reckless.
VII.
As a direct and proximate result of Defendant’s negligence and recklessness, Plaintiff sustained serious and permanent injuries and impairment, which has required and will in the future require expensive and extensive medical treatment.
WHEREFORE, Plaintiff prays for a verdict including actual damages and for such other and further relief, including punitive damages, as the Court deems just and proper.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Council of Pickens County, South Carolina (the “County Council”), the governing body of Pickens County, South Carolina (the “County”) will conduct a public hearing on the proposed enactment of an ordinance entitled, “AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING PICKENS COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF EASLEY; AMENDING THE TERMS OF THE SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES BY AND THROUGH THE PROVISIONS OF THE INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT; AND OTHER MATTERS RELATED THERETO” (the “Ordinance”). Subject to the normal rules of County Council regarding appearances, members of the public are invited to attend and make comment concerning the Ordinance. Such requests should be received by the Clerk to Council on or before the meeting date. The public hearing will be held on November 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., in the County Council chambers, which are located at Pickens County Administration Facility, 222 McDaniel Avenue, Pickens, South Carolina 29671.
