PICKENS — The Pickens High School volleyball team posted a first-round win in Class 4A playoff action and as of press time on Tuesday was still in the running for a state title.

On Oct. 19, the Lady Blue Flame defeated Travelers Rest to open the playoffs, 25-4, 25-8, 25-10. Kaylee Gillespie led in serves with 13 and had four aces. She also led in assists with 15. Lexi
