PICKENS — Pickens High School’s Lexi Wierzbicki was recently named the unanimous Region I-4A Volleyball Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

Wierzbicki, a junior middle hitter, led the Flame with 264 kills with an attacking efficiency of .468 percent in 2017. She led the Lady Flame with 83 blocks and 349 digs.

Sydney Bolding and Kaylee Gillespie were also named to the all-region squad.
