Burgess General Store, now known as Burgess and Taylor General Store, held a ribbon cutting reopening on Saturday with new owners Jack and Katie Taylor. The Taylors’ daughter, Emma, is shown doing the honors as Pickens City Council members Patrick Lark and Lois Porter, Pickens mayor David Owens and Pickens Chamber director Kim Smagala along with her daughter Nola and patron Nathan Miller watch. Burgess and Taylor General Store is located at 710 W. Main St. in Pickens. The store offers a wide variety of unique gift items with an old country store feel.
