PICKENS — The city of Pickens’ annual spring and summer concert series will continue this week and run through the beginning of September.

The free events, which will be held at the amphitheater at 114 W. Main St., will run from 7-9 p.m.

The Jake Bartley Band will headline the city’s annual Independence Day celebration this Wednesday, July 4, and Jack Greer will take the stage on July 7. On July 20, Sweet Potato Pie Kids and Carolina Blue will be the featured entertainment, and the next night, Itchy and the Chiggers will perform.

In August, the Jamie Wright Band is scheduled to put on a show Aug. 4, and Angela Easterling and the Beguilers will play Aug. 18. The final show of the season will be SplitShot’s performance Sept. 1.
