Gettys wears throwbacks
EASLEY — When Easley Junior High School opened its doors in 1962, Richard H. Gettys was the school’s first principal.
Easley Junior High became known by its mascot, the Breakers, and the school colors were maroon and gold. The colors later on became more of a crimson or cardinal shade of red and gold.
