Merilyn Reeves
Easley — Merilyn Delores Gillespie Reeves, 79, wife of the late Thomas Flynn Reeves, died Nov. 26, 2012, at Country Side Park Assisted Living.
Born in Easley, to the late Claude and Janie Dodgens Gillespie, Mrs. Reeves was a homemaker who enjoyed singing, and loved spending time with her family. She was member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Barry Reeves (Deborah) of Liberty; a daughter, Belinda Robson (Bill) of Easley; a brother, Fred Gillespie; a sister Earleen Harrison; six grandchildren, Keri Benjamin (Jeremy) of Dacusville, Kyle Reeves (Alexandria), Keith Reeves, Desmond Robson (Kimberly), Melissa Robson, and Emily Gordon, all of Easley; and four great-grandchildren, Cooper and Tanner Benjamin, Rylee Gordon, and Leighton Robson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Alvin Gillespie; and two sisters, Connie Gustafson, and Bonnie Shephard.
Funeral services were 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown. Burial followed in Westview Cemetery, in Easley.

Harold Bryant, Jr.
Easley — Harold Orr Bryant, Jr., 90, husband of the late Jean Pike Bryant and Vera Copeland Bryant, died Dec. 1, 2012 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Home in Anderson.
Born in Abbeville, to the late Harold and Maryann Alice Crow Bryant, Sr., Harold, Jr. served in the U.S. Navy for five years as a Gunners Mate, Second Class on the USS Oconto, USS Brush, USS Mauna Loa, and the USS William C. Cole in the South Pacific during World War II. After being honorably discharged, he enrolled in Clemson College where he met his wife, Jean. He graduated in 1951 and began working in textiles. He had a wonderful career and retired as the head dye chemist over several Milliken Plants. Mr. Bryant was a family man who loved his grandchildren; he was an avid sports fan who enjoyed playing golf and watching the Atlanta Braves and his Clemson Tigers. He was a long time IPTAY supporter, a Mason, and was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving are two sons, Richard Bryant (Linda) of Lexington, and Kenny Bryant (Patty) of Warner Robins, Ga.; a daughter, Dottie Burdette of Townsville; three step-sons, David Myhand (Wendy), Allen Myhand, and Phillip Myhand (Sherry); one step-daughter, Susan Barfield; 25 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wives and parents, he was predeceased by a son, George Michael Bryant; a step-son, Mark Myhand; four brothers, William Bryant, Earnest Bryant, Jake Bryant, and Oscar Bryant; and four sisters, Annie Bryant Wilson, Lilly Bryant Sanders, Christine Bryant Kinsler, and Pauline Bryant Skelton.
A graveside service was 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3 at Memory Gardens, Clemson.

Charles T. Patterson
Pickens — Charles T. Patterson, 78, of 291 Juniper Lane died Monday at his residence.
Born in Waynesville, N.C., he was a son of the late Turney and Margaret Fletcher Patterson. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Charlene Frady of Easley, Teresa Patterson of Dacusville and Cindy Patterson of Liberty; a son, Edward Patterson of Pickens; two sisters, Virgie Mae Bowen and Mary Jane Trotter, both of Pickens; a brother, Bruce Patterson of Pickens; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Wilburn Patterson.
Graveside services for Mr. Patterson were 2 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

David Cheatham
Easley — David Cheatham, 69, of 111 McDaniel Avenue, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at his home.
Born in New Britain, Conn., a son of the late James Cheatham, Sr., and the late Pearline Matthew Cheatham, Mr. Cheatham retired as a driver with Trash Away after 34 years of service.
Surviving are is wife, Barbara Palmer Cheatham of the home; two daughters, Wendylee Pitts (Robert) of Easley, and Tammieray Hanning of New Britain, Conn.; a grandson who he raised, David Hanning of Easley; a brother, Harvey Cheatham of New Britain, Conn.; a sister, Barbara Jean Baker (John) of Augusta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Cheatham was predeceased by two brothers, James Cheatham, Jr., and Charlie Cheatham, a sister, Katherine Seamore, and by a granddaughter.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Gene Pitts officiating. Burial followed in Secona Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Edith D. Lewis
Pickens — Edith Geraldine Dorr Lewis, 84, of Oolenoy Church Road, and wife of the late Clifford Alexander Lewis, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late Waymon Otis Dorr and Clovie Anthony Dorr. Mrs. Lewis was a homemaker. She was formerly employed with The Singer Company and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was loved by her children, Katherine Lewis Keith of Pickens, Paul Lewis and wife Shirley of Pelzer, Jacqueline Lewis Beavers and husband William of Easley, Sandra Lewis Thomas and husband Mickey of Pickens, Libby Lewis Medlin and husband Danny of Pickens, and Mark Lewis (deceased). She was also loved by 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The Annie McNeese Sunday School Class of Pleasant Grove served as Honorary Escort.

David Greene
Central — David Edward Greene, 91, husband of the late Annette Brewer Greene, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Sterling House of Central.
Born in Pickens County, to the late Alfred and Rosa Pressley Greene, Ed attended Liberty High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, on the LCSL 91, in the South Pacific, and after being honorably discharged, worked as a brick mason and later oversaw masonry at Donaldson Air Force Base. Ed enjoyed attending his military reunions and was always proud to share his scrapbooks. He also enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden.
He is survived by two grandsons, Michael E. Greene, Jr., and David Greene, a sister, Ellen Yester, and 18 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Michael E. Greene, Sr.; six sisters, and one brother.
Funeral services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Easley.

Joseph M. Nebesky
Clemson — Joseph Michael Nebesky, 80, of Clemson, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.
Born in New York, N.Y., he was a son of the late Michael Joseph and Suzanne Maguire Nebesky. He was a graduate of and earned his Masters Degree from Fordham University. Joe was a retired sales and marketing executive with IBM and taught Mathematics at Tri-County Technical College. He was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Clemson.
Surviving are a son, Michael Nebesky (Marie) of Clemson; daughters, Kristen Nebesky Lawson (Barry) of Columbia and Suzanne Nebesky of Tampa, Fla.; and grandchildren, Alena and Addison Nebesky.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Maura McManus Nebesky.
A funeral mass was held at 10 a.m., Saturday at St. Andrews Catholic Church with Father Joe Ciccone officiating.

Easley — Lisa Renee Brooks Stewart, 50, of 105 Pine Forest Court died Monday at her residence.
Born in Easley, she was the daughter of Sophie Stewart Brooks of Easley and the late John C. Brooks. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her husband David Stewart; two daughters, Kristi Naylor and Sarah Fletcher, both of Easley; a son, Johnathan Strong of Liberty; two step daughters, Anna LaRoch and Lindsey Grassell of Liberty; a brother, John Michael Brooks of Liberty; nine grandchildren; and her special friend and companion Curtis Roach of the home.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stewart were held Thursday at 1 p.m. at West End Baptist Church. Burial was at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Audrey Lucille McJunkins
Pickens — Audrey Lucille McJunkins, age 81, wife of Roy “Mac” McJunkins, died Sunday Nov. 18, 2012 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.
Mrs. McJunkins was born in Pickens; daughter of the late Estelle Valley McCollum and Cody Marshall Christopher.
Survivors include her husband of many years, one sister; Peggy Christopher Porter of Pickens, one brother; Billy Joe Christopher of Easley,.
Mrs. McJunkins was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Linda Wiggins and Charles Christopher.
Funeral Services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 20 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens.

SAMMY A. DONALD
Six Mile — Sammy Alonzo Donald, 48, died at his residence Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012.
A life-long resident of Pickens County, he was the son of the late Marion Alonzo and Ellen Caroldeen Stanton Donald. He was a good and loving man, a precious person and a good father.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Tammy Stewart; daughters, Samantha Lavonne Richey (Austen) of Central, Sabrina Leigh Donald of the home, Savannah Lynn Donald of Pickens, Brandi Gilstrap, who was like a daughter and Jams Dodson, who was like a son; brothers Mark Donald (Brenda) of Norris and Billy Donald of Pickens; grandchildren, Justen Richey and Alonzo Dodson.
He was predeceased by a sister, Mary Faye Garris.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7 at the Central Church of God of Prophecy.

Jessica Ryan Rogers
Easley — Jessica Ryan Rogers, 22, of 305 Woodfield Dr. died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born August 24, 1990 in Pickens County, she was a daughter of William J. Rogers and fiance Alice Beck and Ronda Dodson Rogers. Miss Rogers was a 2009 graduate of Easley High School where she was a member of the Jr. ROTC. She was a student at Kenneth Schuler School of Cosmetology, a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church, but attended Lenhardt Christian Fellowship.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Makayla Clardy; sister, Shelly Riddle; brothers, Jacob Rogers and Dakota Rogers; step-sister, Randi Dodson; and grandparents, James and Dot Rogers; and Scott Clardy father of Makayla and family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Powdersville Road with the Rev. John W. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.

Easley — Mrs. Janice Crowe Benjamin, 66, wife of James Terrell Benjamin, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 at McCall Hospice House.
Born in Pickens County, the daughter of the late JB and Dora Nobles Crowe, Mrs. Benjamin retired from Health Management Resources and was a member of Calvary Assembly of God.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 48 years, are a daughter, Tracy Benjamin Shaw (Timothy) of Columbia; a son, James Bradley Benjamin of Charleston; two brothers, Wade Crowe (Sandra) and Roger Crowe (Jan), all of Easley; and two granddaughters, Kathryn and Elizabeth Shaw.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home-Downtown with the Rev. David Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Easley — Mrs. Earline Fennell Jones, 94, wife of Leecle R. Jones, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet.
Born in Honea Path, a daughter of the late George and Mamie Frances Ragsdale Fennell, Mrs. Jones retired from Alice Manufacturing Company, after 27 years of service. She was formerly a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church and presently a member of Collins Creek Baptist Church in Murrells Inlet. She is also member of the Crepe Myrtle Garden Club.
Surviving, in addition to her husband of 75 years, are a daughter, Karen Jones Patrick and husband, David, of Murrells Inlet; two sisters, Hazel Fennell Herbert of Columbia and Jean Fennell Houston and husband, Wendell, of Charleston; two granddaughters Kellie Marie Patrick and Amy Kathleen Patrick Medeiros and husband, Chris.
Cryptside services were 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4 in the Mausoleum of Hillcrest Memorial Park.
