NOTICE TO CITIZENS OF GREENVILLE/PICKENS COUNTIES:
Pursuant to the South Carolina Eminent Domain Procedure Act, Section 28-2-70(c), Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, as amended, notice is hereby given that entry by personnel of the South Carolina Department of Transportation will be made in the area of the roads described below for such purposes as topographic surveys, subsurface exploration, environmental related studies, and for the gathering of any other data necessary for the planning, design, property acquisition, and construction of a bridge replacement project.
The project extends along S-125 (Freeman Bridge Road) over Saluda River near its intersection with Cinnamon Lane to its intersection with Anderson Road. Improvements may include, but are not limited to, construction of a new bridge and demolition of the existing bridge.

Murray Hughes, III, will sell on MONDAY, APRIL 1, 2019, at 11:00 o’clock, a.m. at the Pickens County Courthouse in Pickens, South Carolina, to the highest bidder:

“ALL that certain piece, parcel or lot of land situate, lying and being in the State of South Carolina, County of Pickens, City of Clemson, in old Calhoun, lying North of Shaw Road and being on the East side of Fruster Street, more fully described as Part of Lot #3 on a plat of James A. DERIVATION: This being the identical property conveyed unto James C. Davis and Cassandra Davis by Deed from Annie B. Walker recorded June 10, 1996, in Deed Book 326 at Page 173 in the Office of the RMC for Pickens County, South Carolina. Cassandra Davis conveyed all of her interest to James C. Davis by Deed recorded April 29, 2004, in Deed Book 811 at Page 93 in the Office of the RMC for Pickens County, South Carolina.
TERMS OF SALE: For cash. The purchaser(s) shall pay for deed and documentary recording fees and the successful bidder shall deposit with Special Referee/Sale Officer a certified check or cash in the amount equal to 5% of the amount of the bid as evidence of good faith. Deficiency judgment being inapplicable; the bidding will not remain open and will be final on sale day, however, sold subject to all past due and accruing property taxes and any other senior encumbrance. In the event the successful bidder fails to comply with the terms of sale within 20 days the deposit will be applied to the cost and the balance distributed to the estate and the Special Referee/Sale Officer shall forthwith resell the property, after due notice and Advertisement, at such subsequent sales day until a purchaser who shall comply with the terms of sale is obtained. The subsequent sale or sales shall be made at the risk of the former purchaser.
