EASLEY — Easley will play its closest rival Friday night when the Green Wave trek the six miles into Anderson County to play the high-flying Wren Hurricanes in their home opener.

The Green Wave will look to bounce back after a disappointing performance in the second game versus Daniel, falling, 51-6.

“We’ve got to get ready for another really good football team,” first-year Easley coach Caleb King said after the loss to the Lions. “Wren has a great football team. We’ve got to make sure we are well prepared, better than we were tonight.”

Offensively, the Green Wave have tried to have a balanced attack. Quarterback Kasten Harvey has yet to throw for a score, but has two rushing touchdowns, while only throwing one interception so far this season.

His top target has been freshman receiver Chris Edge, who has 12 catches, but for just 60 yards. Senior Hooper
