PICKENS — Just two weeks out from Pickens’ special city council election, one of the four candidates on the ballot has dropped out of the race to replace Donna Owen on council.

Jonathan Baker, an admissions coordinator at Easley Place skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in Easley, withdrew from the race on March 1, according to Pickens County elections director Travis Alexander.

Left on the ballot to fill the unexpired term of Owen, who announced her resignation in January, will be Allen Brewer,
