On Friday, March 25, Pickens High senior Garrett Beaty and sophomore Sarah Cooper were named the school’s Scholar-Athletes of the Week. Beaty is the son of Randy and Michelle Beaty and was nominated by Tina Hudgens and coach Brittany Kelley as a result of his dedication to the PRIME students and Unified programs at PHS. Beaty is a member of the PHS golf team. Cooper is the daughter of Allen and Susan Cooper and is a member of the varsity soccer team. Sarah was nominated by Lorna Williams, who said she “… exemplifies all that a Blue Flame should.”
