Lions aiming to be 3A’s first three-time consecutive state champion since 1965

CENTRAL — After taking home back-to-back Class 3A state championships, the Daniel Lions enter the 2022 football season with a chance to do something no other team in school history has done before — win three state titles in a row.
In fact, should the Lions take home the championship again this year, they would be the first 3A team in the state since the 1963-65 Gaffney Indians to complete the accomplishment.
