Christine S. Satterfield

 Pickens — Christine Stone Satterfield, 84, formerly of Red Hill Road, wife of the late Alfred Bennett Satterfield, died Thursday, May 16, 2013.

 Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lucille Bearden Stone. Mrs. Satterfield was retired from Sangamo Electric and was a member of Concord Baptist Church.

 Surviving are her children, A. Bennett Satterfield (Bernice) of Oakway and Judy Spivey (Phil) of Easley; grandchildren, Chadwick Satterfield, Christy Peters, Lindsay Campbell, and Celeste Smith; and 10 great grandchildren.

 Mrs. Satterfield was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three brothers, Austin Stone, Billy Stone and T.N. Stone.

 Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 18 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Ann M. LaCasse

  Easley — Ann Marie Pfluger LaCasse, of 205 Old Stagecoach Road, formerly of Brunswick, Maine, died peacefully Tuesday morning at The Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.

 Born in Pottsville, Pa., she was the widow of the late Maurice A. LaCasse and a daughter of the late August “Happy” and Amelia D. Rossi Pfluger. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She served our country during WWII in the Women’s Army Corp. She was a communicant of St. John’s the Baptist Church in Brunswick, Maine and a member of The Third Order of Mary. She worked for Health-Tex and The Harriet Beecher Stowe House. She loved sewing, line dancing and singing.

 Surviving are three daughters, Mary Anne Cain(Phillip) of Easley, Joanne Theresa Pardis(Larry) of Topsham, Maine and Laura Anne Bowen(Terry) of Easley; a son, David LaCasse of Liberty; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; her beloved dog, Happy; a brother in law, Herbert Shay of Pottsville, Pa.: and several nieces and nephews.

 In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two sisters; three brothers and a daughter in law, Elaine Rose LaCasse.

 Funeral services for Mrs. LaCasse were held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Liberty Mortuary Chapel. Burial was at Liberty Memorial Gardens.

Michael J. Browne

  Easley — Mr. Michael J. Browne, 75, husband of Roberta A. Browne, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House, Anderson.

 Born in Red Oak, Iowa, the son of the late Martin and Julia Browne, Mr. Browne retired as an engineer with Dayco Mark IV Industries and was a member of St. Lukes Catholic Church. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

 Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, are two daughters, Michelle Weitekamp of Stafford, Va., and Margaret “Maggie” Lane (Kenneth) of Waterloo, Belgium; one brother, Thomas Browne of Tuscon, Ariz.; one sister, Eileen Hennen (Kenneth); a brother-in-law, Edward Curtin; and six grandchildren, Michael and Megan Weitekamp, and Alec, Ben, Will, and Sam Lane.

 In addition to his parents, Mr. Browne was predeceased by a sister, Mary Curtin.

 A Funeral Mass was from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Monday, May 20 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church. Burial followed in the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veteran’s Cemetery with military honors.

Edward Holden

  Easley — Edward William Holden, 88, of 204 South 8th Street, died Friday, May 17, 2013.

 Born in Cateechee he was the widower of Floree Dodson Holden and a son of the late Paul and Lois Chapman Holden. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was a member of West End Baptist Church.

 Surviving are three daughters, Joyce Simmons (Wade), and Judy Cassell (Bobby), and Ingrid Marosch; a son, Olin Holden (Rhonda); a sister, Ellen Melton; a brother, Gerald Holden (Hazel); 19 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren.

 He was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Holden Robinson.

 Funeral services to honor the life of Mr. Holden were 3 p.m. Sunday at West End Baptist Church. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Margaret W. Hayes

 Central — Margaret Whitman Hayes, 75, wife of Bobby Gene “Red” Hayes of 710 Maw Bridge Road, died Saturday, May 18, 2013 at her home.

 Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Gus and Margie Wilson Whitman.  Margaret was a homemaker and attended Mt. Bethel Holiness Church in Oconee County.

 Surviving in addition to her husband are a son: Michael (Denise) Hayes of Central; sisters, Ollie Mae York of Toccoa, Ga., Ann Provost of Detroit, Michigan and Bertie Sue Nichols of Mascot, Tenn.; grandchildren, Amanda Hurley and Brandon Hayes; and great-grandchildren, David and Derrick Hurley.

 Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday in the chapel of Duckett-Robinson Funeral Home, Central with burial to follow in Rider Mountain Firebaptized Holiness Church Cemetery, Westminster.

 The family is at the home.

Carole Marlene Jones

 Easley — Carole Marlene Knox Jones, 44, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her home.

 Born in Pickens County, Carole was a daughter of Connie Knox Jones and the late William M. Jones. She attended Abundant Life Church.

 Surviving, in addition to her mother, are one brother, Kelly Jones (Renee) of Easley; and two sisters, Pam Jones Corn of Piedmont, and Darla Jones Garraux of Easley.

 In addition to her father, Carole was predeceased by a brother, Tim Jones.

 Graveside services were 1 p.m. Monday, May 20 in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
