PICKENS — Pickens’ new city administrator has experience in both town and city government.

During its Sept. 12 meeting, Pickens City Council unanimously approved appointing Charlene Carter as the city’s new administrator

Carter served the city of Travelers Rest in the roles of treasurer, city clerk and special projects from 2019 to 2021.
