PCSO make arrests in rash of car break-ins

 

One suspect still at large

 

EASLEY — The Pickens County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men and have active warrants for another after a rash of vehicle break-ins in the Easley area.

According to sheriff Rick Clark, a total of 59 warrants were issued for 19-year-old Joshua Pete Thomas of Easley, 18-year-old Brandon Tyler Stoudenmire and 19-year-old Kenneth Justin Stoudenmire in the string of thefts.

Thomas and Brandon Stoudenmire have been arrested, while officers are still searching for Kenneth Stoudenmire.

Thomas faces one charge of burglary, one charge of grand larceny, nine charges of auto breaking and 10 charges of petit larceny.

Each of the Stoudenmire brothers faces nine counts of auto breaking and 10 counts of petit larceny.

According to Clark, deputies believe the three randomly canvassed neighborhoods looking for unlocked vehicles at night and stole items left inside by the owners. Approximately $3,500 worth of property was stolen, ranging from iPods and purses to tools and medication. The sheriff’s office has recovered approximately $2,500 of the stolen property.

Anyone with information as to Kenneth Stoudenmire’s whereabouts is asked to call the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office.
