BRYAN LOYD SMITH
SIX MILE — Bryan Loyd Smith, 93, passed away on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022.
Bryan was a lifelong member of Six Mile Baptist Church.
Bryan is survived by a sister, Jeanette Thomas; a brother, Carlos Smith; daughters, Diane Singleton (Stephen) and Jackie Smith; stepson, Jim Patterson (Jane); grandchildren, Tori Bell (Jerad), Kiley Dorth (Ryan), Sara Lazarus (Kyle), Michael Schmidt and Aaron Geller; great-grandkids, Regan and Tahlia Bell, Zeik and Kelce Dorth and Evie, Gabe and Theo Lazarus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bryan was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Selma Smith; wife, Mozelle Nations Smith; wife, Aletha Patterson Smith; and several brothers and sisters.
A private committal service will be held sometime in early January.

TINA MARIE LOLLIS
ANDERSON — Tina Marie Lollis, 58, passed away on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022, at her home.
Born on June 29, 1964, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., Tina was the daughter of the late Albert J. Latour and Helen E. Latour. Tina was employed as a certified nursing assistant for HMO. She enjoyed cooking, shooting pool and coloring with her grandkids.
Survivors include her son, James A. Smith; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Jeanine Setser, Herbert Latour, Joseph Latour and Paula Bryson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lollis was predeceased by a son, Dustin Smith.
The family will host a memorial service on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at Full Life Church of God, with the time to be announced at a later date.

MICHAEL CORN
PICKENS — Mr. Michael Eugene Corn, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022.
He was the loving husband of Dianne Holcombe Corn. They shared 48 years of marriage.
Born in Pickens on Jan. 25, 1950, he was the son of the late W.E. “Runt” Corn and the late Sarah Nalley Corn. He retired at the age of 55 after many years of working as a CNC machinist. He enjoyed being with his family, traveling and woodworking. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
In addition to his precious wife, he is survived by two children, Wendy Deaton (Adam) and Adam Corn (Savannah); a son-in-law, Blair Porter; and a sister, Pat Holcombe. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Hayden and Ian Porter, Emily and Elizabeth Deaton and Elin and Harper Corn; a niece, Susan Lewis (Jack); a nephew, Brad Holcombe (Yvonne); and numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both parents; his eldest daughter, Michelle Corn Porter; and his brother-in-law, John Wayne Holcombe.
Visitation was held on Dec. 27 at Mountain View Church in Six Mile. A celebration of life was held after the visitation at the church.

WILLIAM ERNEST MCDONALD
EASLEY — William Ernest McDonald, 83, husband of Laura Harkins McDonald, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022.
Born in Pickens County, he was the son of the late Earl and Margaret Guest McDonald.
Mr. McDonald loved to study God’s word and was a member of Jones Avenue Baptist Church, where he served as a Sunday school teacher. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and adored his family and was an avid fisherman.
He retired from Michelin as a lab technician and also proudly served with the U.S. Navy for four years.
In addition to his loving wife of 43 years, Mr. McDonald is survived by daughters, Cheryl Looper (Jimmy) and Lisa Adcox (Michael), both of Easley; a brother, Charles McDonald (Robbie) of Hilton Head; grandchildren, Jameson Looper (Erin) and Graham Adcox (Caitlyn); and a great-grandson, Weston Looper. He is also survived by a special cousin, Randall Stewart; and his best friend and fishing buddy, Boyce Revis.
Funeral services were held on Dec. 23 in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Downtown. Burial followed at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Manna Post-Acute and Traditions Hospice for their loving care.
The family will be at the residence of Cheryl and Jimmy Looper.

REGGIE ANDERSON
LIBERTY — Reggie Anderson, 67, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at his home.
A native of Pickens County, Reggie was born on Jan. 18, 1955, to the late Retha A. Wilson. Mr. Wilson loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.
Survivors include his daughter, Angela Cooper (Jeff) of Pickens; grandchildren, Casey Waters (Bryan), Austin Smith (Kayley) and Cynthia Nedwards (Tee); and great-grandchildren, Collin Waters and Layne Nedwards.
In addition to his mother, Reggie was predeceased by a daughter, Becky Anderson.

EDWARD SILAS ‘SI’ WHITMIRE
TEMPE, Ariz. — Edward Silas “Si” Whitmire, 25, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Pickens County, Si was born on June 24, 1997, the son of Scott and Melinda Whitmire. He was of the Christian faith and shared a special bond with the Rev. Cy Rogers. He was a graduate of Pickens High School and Clemson University. Si enjoyed working on cars and trucks, welding and traveling and loved cats. He was employed at Greif Industries in Phoenix, Ariz., where he loved working with the people there and they loved him in return.
In addition to his parents, Si is survived by his sister, Joanna Whitmire; his grandfather, Furman Whitmire; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mr. Whitmire was predeceased by his grandparents, Bill and Ellen McGrew, Helen Whitmire and Hope Whitmire.
Funeral services took place on Dec. 23 in the chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home. Burial took place following the service at Hillcrest Memorial Park.

LUCILLE STEWART BAGWELL
PICKENS — Ms. Lucille Stewart Bagwell, 79, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2022, at Fleetwood Post Acute in Easley.
Ms. Bagwell was born in Pickens on Jan. 30, 1943, to the late Thomas B. and Bessie Norton Stewart.
She enjoyed bowling and watching the hummingbirds, and the most important thing to her was to be able to spend time with her family. Ms. Bagwell retired from Ryobi as an assembler and was of the Baptist Faith.
Ms. Bagwell is survived by her two children, Jerry Bagwell (Penny) and Jeff Bagwell (Sherion); a daughter-in-law, Kay Bagwell: her four grandchildren, Chris Bagwell, David Bagwell, Tonya Feno (Randall) and Jarrett Bagwell; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Bagwell was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Bagwell.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens.
The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 p.m. Thursday, prior to the service, at Dillard Funeral Home.

SUSAN K. FREEMAN
LIBERTY — Susan K. Freeman, 62, passed away on Friday, Dec. 23, 2022, at her home.
Born on Sept. 23, 1960, in Greenville County, Susan was the daughter of the late Bruce Burton and Margie Burton. Mrs. Freeman enjoyed going for joy rides and loved taking care of her grandkids. Her kids and grandkids were her life, and her family was everything to her.
Survivors include her children, Nathan Freeman (Hannah) of Central, Coty Freeman (Paige Rainey) of Williamston, Logan Jeror (Jessica Garrett) of Spartanburg and Trista Wilburn (Michael) of Spartanburg; her husband, Rick Jeror; her grandchildren, Landen Freeman, Haedyn Freeman, Cobben Freeman, Brody Freeman, Natalie Freeman and Bristol Freeman; and a nephew, Adam Pruitt.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Freeman was predeceased by her sister, Brucelene Pruitt.
The family will hold a celebration of life service at noon on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023, in the sanctuary of Flat Rock Baptist Church, 115 Slab Bridge Road, Liberty, SC 29657.

CENTRAL — Lydia Lee Cox, 55, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at her home.
Born on July 11, 1967, in Greenville County, Lydia was the daughter of the late Burley Lee Boozer and Loretta Darlene Bagshaw. Lydia attended Pickens High School and worked at Walmart in Central for 10 years.
Survivors include her children, Rebecca Gambrell of Liberty, Danielle Cox of Easley and Dakota Cox of Honea Path; grandchildren, Hannah Pelt, Tylee Duncan, Keyondre Blythe, Haylin Blythe, Destiny Cox and Sage Stokes; a sister, Terri Kay; a niece, Heather Kay; a nephew, Rusty Kay; and best friend, Margie Hooper.
Mrs. Cox was predeceased by her parents.
