County to hold dedication ceremony for LEC in honor of C. David Stone

PICKENS — Pickens County administrator Ken Roper said a formal ceremony to celebrate the renaming of the county’s law enforcement center in memory of longtime sheriff David Stone will happen in August after recent criticism from a former elected official.

“(Former Councilman Carl) Hudson and I had a very good conversation about that, and he expressed to me his passion about that and a lot of retirees’ passion about that, and I respect what he said and agree with him,” Roper said in his administrator’s report at the June 5 regularly scheduled
