BY VIRTUE of a decree heretofore granted in the case of Truist Bank, Successor by Merger to SunTrust Bank against Robert Brian Dills, et al., I, the Master in Equity for Pickens County, will sell on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at 11:00 am o’clock a.m., at the Pickens County Courthouse, Pickens, South Carolina, to the highest bidder:
All that certain piece, parcel or lot of land, lying and being situate in the State of South Carolina, County of Pickens, being shown and designated as Lot 6, containing 0.58 acres, more or less, being shown and designated on a Plat of Dillard Estates, A Subdivision for Larry Black and Gerald Black prepared by G. M. Powell Land Surveying, Professional Land Surveying, dated July 1, 1996 and recorded in the Register of Deeds Office for Pickens County in Plat Book 254 at Page 3-B. For a more complete and accurate description refer to the above referenced plat.

TERMS OF SALE:  The successful bidder, other than the plaintiff, will deposit with the Master in Equity for Pickens County at conclusion of the bidding, five percent (5%) of the bid, in cash or equivalent, as evidence of good faith, same to be applied to the purchase price in case of compliance, but to be forfeited and applied first to costs and then to plaintiff’s debt in the case of non-compliance.  If the Plaintiff’s representative is not in attendance at the scheduled time of the sale, the sale shall be canceled and the property sold on some subsequent sales day after due advertisement.  Should the last and highest bidder fail or refuse to make the required deposit at time of bid or comply with the other terms of the bid within thirty (30) days, the deposit shall be forfeited and the Master in Equity for Pickens County may re-sell the property on the same terms and conditions on some subsequent Sales Day (at the risk of the said highest bidder).  As a deficiency judgment is being waived, the bidding will not remain open thirty days after the date of sale.  Purchaser shall pay for preparation of deed, documentary stamps on the deed, and recording of the deed. The successful bidder will be required to pay interest on the amount of the bid from date of sale to date of compliance with the bid at the rate of 9.03% per annum.  The sale shall be subject to assessments, Pickens County taxes, easements, easements and restrictions of record, and other senior encumbrances.

Notice of Department Decision
Topic: Proposed Expansion of the Pickens County Class 2 Landfill
Location: 2047 Old Liberty Road,
Liberty, South Carolina
The South Carolina Department of Environmental Services has made a final decision that the proposed expansion of the Pickens County Class 2 Landfill is consistent with the requirements of the DON regulations, the Pickens County and state solid waste management plans as a commercial landfill, and the buffer requirements.  The Department also confirmed receipt of a zoning approval letter.

This decision becomes the final agency decision thirty (30) days from the date of the mailing of the decision (August 28, 2024) unless an appeal is made in accordance with S.C. Code Ann. § 48-6-30(D)(2), which states:
Within thirty calendar days after the mailing of a decision [pursuant to S.C. Code Ann.§ 48-6-30(D)(1)], an applicant, permittee, licensee, certificate holder, or affected person desiring to contest the department decision may request a contested case hearing before the Administrative Law Court, in accordance with the Administrative Procedures Act.
